Ruger P95

Went and picked up my new handgun. It's a Ruger P95 9mm semi automatic with 15+1 capacity.

And one for scale, a single round is off to the left.

It breaks down easily into 5 pieces without any tools, the double action trigger seems to require 10-12 lbs of trigger pull, which is good as this is going to be kept with a round in the chamber. This is our "home defense" gun, that I can also take to the range and have some fun with relatively cheaply. After the first shot, each one is single action, and requires about 3lbs of pull.

I've got some steel cased CCI ammo that I'm going to use the first time we take it out, and I will report back how it handles.

It comes with a hard case, two stainless steel magazines, and a speed loader, which means that unless we get concealed carry and I need a holster, that should be all I'll ever need for this gun. Great value for money at $350 out the door. My pawn shop in town had it in stock. I've been happy with him for the way he's handled my last two purchases (technically one transfer and a purchase), so he's got my business for the foreseeable future.
