It has just been released as a public beta, and if you use facebook, you need to give it a try. Just go to http://lite.facebook.com, and login just like you normally would.

Originally meant for regions that had little to no access to fast internet, lite.facebook has a slimmed down interface, which makes the site look much more clean, and load quite a bit faster than the regular version.

The thing I like most isn't the loading speed, but the fact that there are several things ommited from the site in the lite version. Namely, those stupid little "How bloodthirsty as a vampire would YOU be?" quizes don't show up in the friend feed. YES! Every single day I log in and close out 10-20 of those damn things but they just keep coming back more and more every damn day.

So, for the time being, lite.facebook is my new favorite site. Well... that and Gacob.info.
